This is a great, family-friendly event sponsored by The Mt. Airy Lions Club and The Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. There will also be art crafters, antique dealers and many other vendors (including demos), live music all weekend AND a kids park with zip line pony rides and more so bring the family for a great day.

Naptown BarBAYq BBQ Contest & Music Festival

Last year, the barBAYq drew over 10,000 people and raised over $75,000 for grants to various charities in the Annapolis area focusing on bettering the lives of children.

This year's 5th annual event will be open to the public from 11:00AM to 9:00PM on Saturday, May 2, and from noon to 6:00PM on Sunday, May 3. Over 40 bands will be performing on three stages Saturday and Sunday. Free Kiddie Korral for children will provide hours of entertainment for families. Patrons also will have opportunities to enjoy cooking demonstrations and to taste competition BBQ at the People’s Choice competition (Saturday afternoon only). An outstanding variety of food is available for purchase, including good variety of championship BBQ.
